Why Life-long learning
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, commanded His disciples and all Christians to "Go and make disciples of all the Nations" Matt. 28:19. This is the highest calling for each Christian to be equipped to serve others. Alongside the Lord, the Church of the Nazarene requires Lay and Clergy to partake in continuous learning. Life-long learning equips and sustains the Lay and Clergy for Ministerial work. NTC is dedicated to equip our leaders for their daily challenges within their local setting.
NTC will provide several short courses throughout the year as an opportunity for Lay and Clergy to develop themselves. All courses are registered as training with the Church, and participants can find the event code at the end of every course.
Courses are designed for a total of 5 hours; this requires 1 hour of study time a day. Courses will be offered for five days in the third week of every month. Participants may register for the training upon completion of the course.
The cost will be R200 per course and must be paid before the course commences.
How to register?
Review the list of courses and then select the Register button. The link will take you to Gnecsis, the information system we use. Please complete the application process and select the Life-long learning application form. For detailed instructions on how to register, please follow this link.
Recognition
The student must record All completed training on the Lifelong Learning Website of the Church. This is the official recordkeeping of continued learning.
NTC will enrol each participant in the respective courses and keep a record.
We reward members with badges to recognise them for their continued learning.
Lastly, we trust that each Christian will take up this opportunity to equip themselves to serve better in the Kingdom of our Lord.
Badges
Bronze: 10-14 Hours.
Silver: 15-19 Hours.
Gold: 20-29 Hours.
Platinum: 30+ Hours.
Per calendar year.
